Located at 440 E McCullough Dr #210, Charlotte, NC 28262, Vavela Cafe operates as a coffee shop serving Charlotte in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–1 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Vavela Cafe at (704) 817-9208; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, vavela.com.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 1,700 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded coffee shops in Charlotte.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Charlotte is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Vavela is much more than a coffee shop. It’s a restaurant, café, co-working space, dessert destination, and late-night gathering place that brings together the best of Middle Eastern hospitality and American café culture. Located in North Charlotte, just minutes from major office parks, corporate campuses, and surrounding neighborhoods, it’s an ideal place whether you’re grabbing breakfast before work, meeting clients, working remotely, catching up with friends, or simply unwinding late into the evening. With hours extending to 1:00 a.m. on weekdays and 2:00 a.m. on weekends, it fills a niche that few places in Charlotte do. The menu is impressively diverse. Alongside specialty coffees and Turkish coffee, you’ll find Middle Eastern favorites like karak tea, za’atar pies, halloumi, refreshing fruit drinks, and an outstanding dessert selection. Their signature Vavela Kunafa is a must-try, and it’s easy to see why it has become one of their specialties. The menu also blends modern favorites with regional flavors, from pistachio lattes and matcha to Dubai chocolate desserts and fresh paninis. What stands out most, however, is the atmosphere. A wonderful café with a cozy atmosphere! I tried the cake, kunafa, and the Moroccan mint tea, and everything was absolutely delicious. The kunafa was fresh and flavorful, the cake was amazing, and the Moroccan mint tea was the perfect finishing touch. The service was friendly, and the overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend this café to anyone looking for great desserts and tea. I’ll definitely be back!

This place blows Amellies out of the water! Lots of options and the desserts are every bit as good as they look and if you see it then they have it (unlike places that are just out of everything all the time). Delicious coffee options, some of which I rarely see offered in Charlotte. Nice atmosphere. A bit loud but honestly that's a good thing. We had our 3 month old there without issue. Great vibes overall!

We stopped by Vavela Cafe to try a few desserts and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The pastries were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this cafe if you’re looking for a nice dessert and coffee spot in Charlotte. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the Turkish coffee wasn’t authentic Turkish coffee in my opinion. It seemed to have added flavoring, which changed the traditional taste and texture. If you’re expecting a classic Turkish coffee experience, just keep that in mind. Other than that, everything else was excellent and I’d happily come back to try more desserts!

Sam is an amazing server and truly such a great vibe. She has the kind of energy and personality customers look for when going out to eat. Her enthusiasm, positive attitude, and genuine smile made our entire experience even better. She knows exactly how to brighten up a table and make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. On top of that, she thoughtfully organized lovely desserts for our table, which made the night feel extra special. Sam goes above and beyond with her service, and it really shows. She’s absolutely amazing!
